We were recently introduced to Jay Stolar through long-time mutual friend Charlene Kaye. The two have played a bunch of shows together this year, and Charlene recommended us to come up with ideas for Jay’s new tour merch. He was in a pinch to have the merch for his next string of shows that start in two weeks. Keith hustled, and came up with this hand-manipulated type-treatment of Jay’s name that’s going to be printed on t-shirts and stickers.
I’m very excited to reveal that I’ve been working on a bunch of new projects for mewithoutYou. Last week, they announced their new album Ten Stories. I’ve been handling all of the design aspects of this record. As with their previous records, the artwork is based around a series of paintings by Vasily Kafanov, and I’ve been working on all other visual elements, including intricate typography, illustration and general layout. For now, the band is revealing a small puzzle piece of the cover, every week-day on their facebook, until the full cover is finally displayed. More to be announced soon.
The band is currently on a short spring break tour, and are selling a shirt I designed based on the new song February, 1878. They also asked me to silkscreen some posters for the tour, so I roped in honorary bear Allie Smith to help illustrate the rabbit from that same song. Go grab some of this new merch at one of their upcoming shows!
We’re proud to be helping our friends at Endeavor Media with some visuals for their new film, Blood Brother. I first met the movie’s main character, Rocky, when we both lived in Pittsburgh. Go check out their brand new site.
Here is our cover for the new Cloudkicker album Let Yourself Be Huge. The album is being released on CD & limited edition 10″ colored vinyl. You can purchase the CD, as well as a t-shirt and poster we made, right now on Bandcamp. The vinyl will be out in a few weeks.
This project has been in the works for almost a year now. Working with a band that has internationally toured for the last 9 months out of the year, can well… prolong these things. But, finally, we’re proud to have launched this new website for La Dispute. We’ve timed the launch alongside their new album Wildlife, which is due out in October on No Sleep Records. Go check it out, and respect the awesome programming-magic that Stevebear was able to make a reality; horizontal sliding, background image transitions; custom scroll-bars; damn.
